Dr. Maude Cuchiara (Associate Professor) from North Carolina State University visited our office.
Dr. Maude Cuchiara is a materials engineering researcher who also has a deep interest in interdisciplinary collaborative research.
This meeting was arranged through the efforts of KOYAMA Tomohisa Unit Leader, Industry -Academia Collaboration and International Strategy group (IIG), Academic Research and Industry - Academia - Government Collaboration (AR&IAGC), Nagoya University, Tokai National Higher Education and Research System.

Attending from the Office for the Development of Interdisciplinary Research Strategy (ODIRS) were Designated Professor KUSANO Kanya (former ISEE Director), Designated Associate Professor Kikuchi Ryota, and Lead Academic Specialist Yasunori Mori.
They presented on the organizational overview of the Institute for Space-Earth Environmental Research (ISEE), the establishment process of the ODIRS, and initiatives such as interdisciplinary research strategy projects.
Following this, a discussion was held on the mechanisms, approaches, incentives, and support measures implemented by the ODIRS.

Through this meeting, it was striking to observe that the recognition of similar needs and challenges in interdisciplinary research exists even across national borders.
We will continue to promote information sharing with researchers both domestically and internationally. Furthermore, we aim to advance strategic initiatives for interdisciplinary research.
