Report from the 8th US-Japan Digital Innovation Hub and Advanced Technology Workshop
I attended the workshop held at Ohio State University on September 11-12, 2024.
The participants from Japan included President Naoshi Sugiyama of Nagoya University, President Kyosuke Nagata of Tsukuba University, former President Hideo Ohno of Tohoku University, as well as exective leaders from Mitsubishi Corporation, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, JETRO, Canon Healthcare.
The space panel, in which Shiokawa participated, included panelists three CEOs of U.S. space companies, i.e., Voyeger Space, Astrobotic, and Blue Abyss. Voyeger Space is developing Starlab, a commercial space station that will replace the International Space Station (ISS).
It is very much impressive that Ohio State University has strong collaboration with these space companies.
